Also don't forget to wander over to Home of the Wanderers for assorted discussion topics and Other Games to meet up with other guild members to discuss and play new and upcoming games.
The Wanderers are planning to make a fun-filled splash in the upcoming Champions Online MMORPG. Get in on the ground floor today for planning, discussion and frolicking in the brand new dedicated Champions Online forum!!!
And just to get your juices flowing, check out this little goody I found deep in the darkest corners of my comic book collection:
When Guild Wars met Magic: The Gathering and had themselves an RTS baby, it could only be called.... Battleforge!!!! It's one of the best twists on the RTS genre in quite some time, mixed with an extensive multiplayer online component (both co-op and PvP).
Check out the Other Gamesforums for all the details and join in on the fun!!!
Just a quick note to say while the guild experiences a bit of a lull in "big" MMORPG gaming, there's still a lot going on amongst guildies. We are still playing WAR (albeit with a smaller force) and WoW, as well as multiple other MMOs, betas, and assorted gaming goodness. Please continue to stop by and check the forums, particularly the Home of the Wanderers for assorted discussion topics and Other Games to meet up with other guild members in new and upcoming games like Battlefield Heroes, Battleforge, and The Chronicles of Spellborn.
Looking for a change of pace? A small band of chaotic Wandererz has formed a ragtag Destruction guild on Dark Crag, an Open RvR server.
As of last night, the server is very populated (wait times to get in around 5-10 minutes), but from what we've seen in T1, this translates to lots of action all the time. Scenarios were popping constantly and the open RvR action is fierce.
This is not meant to supplant the main guild, but open up an exciting alternate while we wait for Land of the Dead (Darkness Falls expansion)!
Remember that purple dragon that it used to take forty of us to roll over and even then it didn't always go so well. Nifern stepped in there on her own, and after 51 minutes she pulled out a win. Here is what she posted on Wanderaid and don't forget to check out the video clip.

Took me 6 tries and the kill was 51 minutes long. The first, fourth and fifth attempts I died at the start of P2 (on #5 Gru was also sending me tells about staring at me ). The second and third attempts I died when Ony aggroed the Warder patrol in P2. On the kill I got Onyxia through P1 and P2 much faster than I had been able to before, which is why I was able to make it to P3 without a Warder aggroing.
Here's the gear and spec I used plus a scroll of stam and some GNERDS (unfortunately, warcrafter hasn't updated for spellpower changes yet). I used the Insect Swarm and the Healing Touch glyphs. I initially ran over 200 resil to be closer to crit immunity but I decided that wasn't necessary. I ended up keeping on 4 PvP pieces for stam and the mana-restore meta but I think I could have done it in my regular raiding gear. Here's a video clip I put together of what the different phases were like.
I had fun trying it out and improving at it. I originally thought that maybe I could get it done in about 20 tries and I'd end up having to drag someone along to kill the Warder respawns, so I was really excited to do it by myself. Thanks to Erin, Mox and Nye for sending me scrolls. It turns out you can only use one scroll at a time so if anyone wants some let me know, otherwise I'll try to stick them in the Free Candy tab this week sometime.
With help from the nerf and our good friend Kalecgos we took down Kil'Jaeden and were the first on our server to clear the Sunwell! Congratulations to all Wanderers on finishing the game!
Well, instead of doing the around 500 pulls that M'uru takes we got help from the nerf and took him down on our second night of work on him, first night of nerfed work. We snuck it in in just enough time to get not only a horde first but a server first, which is a first for us!
